What an AI chatbot costs to build and run
A business chatbot has two costs: building it and keeping it running. Here is what each one covers, with real prices.

An AI chatbot answers your customers on your website, day and night, using your own prices, timings and policies. It is one of the fastest AI projects a small business can launch. This guide explains what it costs and why there is a monthly fee.
The short answer
Build: $2,000 (₹50K), about 1 to 2 weeks.
Monthly care: $250 (₹6K) a month, starting the month it goes live.
AI usage: paid by you, directly to the AI provider, based on how many conversations it has.
What the build covers
Collecting your questions, prices, timings and policies.
Setting up the chatbot and training it on that information.
Rules for what it should not answer, and when to pass a question to a person.
Sending leads and hard questions to your email or team.
Testing it with real questions before launch.
Why there is a monthly fee
A chatbot is not a one-time file like a logo. Your prices change, your services change, and AI models are updated by their providers. The monthly fee covers watching the conversations, fixing wrong answers, updating its information and keeping it working when models change. Without it, a chatbot slowly drifts out of date.
What AI usage costs
Every conversation uses a small amount of AI processing, billed by the AI provider. For most small businesses this is a modest monthly amount, and it grows with the number of chats. We set it up on your account so you can see exactly what you pay.
What changes the price
Where it lives. A website chatbot is the standard build. Other channels depend on your accounts and are confirmed in the quote.
How much it knows. A clinic with ten services is quick. A store with thousands of products needs more setup.
What it can do. Answering questions is simplest. Booking, checking orders or updating your CRM means connecting it to your tools, which may move it into a workflow automation or custom agent project.
Is it worth it?
A useful way to decide: count the questions your team answers every day that have the same answer every time. Opening hours, prices, delivery areas, how to book. If that is more than a few an hour, a chatbot pays for itself in time saved and in leads you would otherwise miss after hours.
Questions people ask
Will it make things up?
We limit it to your information and test it before launch. When it does not know, it says so and passes the question to a person.
Can I read the conversations?
Yes. You can see every conversation, which is also a useful way to learn what customers ask most.
Can I cancel the monthly fee?
Yes, but then nobody is watching or updating it. Most clients keep it running.
